Performance Design, Video Design
From August until December, I was an Intern at Nina Dunn’s Studio, a Video Designer based in Brighton. I participated in two theatre shows. My main role was to help creat content and this experience has given me the opportunity to get a deeper understanding on the specific techniques of After Effects for performing arts.
Some of the things I have learnt from Nina’s workflow are: Firstly, in working on the content inside the storyboard so one can feedback into the other and vice versa. Secondly, is to always create content that is very flexible so by the time you get into the technical rehearsals, you can easily modify it as you progress.
Apart from this main role, I also learnt how to do the production side of a video design, doing video systems, network systems and programming in Qlab.
